Bio

Hey there,

I'm Jason Chu, an LA-based artist with a background that’s anything but conventional. My creative journey actually began with movement—I grew up in gymnastics, competed for the U.S. Junior National Team, and represented Penn State at the collegiate level. But after a major injury and some tough life shifts, I dropped out and hit reset.

From there, life took me everywhere: teaching snowboarding, performing with Cirque du Soleil and other acrobatic shows in Vegas, dealing poker, and eventually landing back home in LA—where I’ve worked for over a decade as a Hollywood stuntman, doubling in some of the biggest films out there.

But through all of that, painting has always been the quiet constant. It sparked back in high school, became my major in college, and has evolved into a deep passion that I’m finally giving the space it deserves. My work reflects the chaos, beauty, and movement that’s shaped my life, and I’m so excited to share it with you.

Whether you’re here to browse, commission a custom piece, or just vibe with the art—welcome. Let’s create something meaningful together.

Cheers,
Waxvino
